There is no definitive answer to this question as all clients have a different experience with what feels comfotable for them. Some people attend 12 sessions over 12 weeks and feel satisfied with their progress to independently manage, however, others attend therapy weekly or bi-weekly for years to continually develop on themselves. Everyone is different.
Counselling and therapy offer a safe, supportive space to explore whatever you're struggling with whether that's anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, past experiences, or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Therapy can help you understand your thoughts and emotions more clearly, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop healthier ways of coping and relating to yourself and others. It’s not just about resolving problems it’s also about deepening self-awareness, improving emotional well-being, and building a more fulfilling life, on your terms.
